Sky Zone is the Ultimate Birthday Party Destination
SkyZone Trampoline Park Pittston, PA is known for their intensely fun complex packed with trampolines and obstacle courses of all types. They are the headquarters for dream birthday parties for kids, but did you also know they serve pizza and other menu items?
We held my son’s (The Pizza Prince) birthday party at Sky Zone and ordered their Platinum Package which we thought provided great value for the kids in attendance. It came with a jumping pass, arcade card, goodie bag, drinks, french fries, and most importantly – PIZZA! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect in terms of the quality or size of the pizza, but to be honest I had envisioned a small, round, concession stand type pizza.
Time to Eat
As the kids jumped and climbed around the trampoline park, they built up a hunger, and before long their hour of jumping was finished and it was time to eat! They grabbed a slice to go with their french fries and drinks and there was enough for the parents to try as well. I, of course had to give a slice of the pepperoni and cheese to test it out. The crust was thick and fluffy, golden brown all the way around. It was on the chewy side and mostly soft, but a satisfactory base with generous dimensions. It was precisely the size of the standard 11 x 17 Old Forge Pizza and was built to feed a lot of people.
The sauce was pretty neutral, a hint of sweetness, a hint of acidity, and a touch of seasoning. Nothing too offensive, which made it a great sauce for kids and everyone really. The cheese seemed to be a standard mozzarella that held it all together. Overall, I was fairly impressed with the quality of the pizza given the fact that operations like this could easily provide less quantity and quality pizza because the food is not the main attraction. It was refreshing to find that Skyzone is providing good value for the jumpers’ dollar as well as taking some pride in providing a reasonable quality pizza.
The Pittston Sky Zone is a well run, clean, bright, and fun venue. Overall, we were really happy with the experience and it made for a memorable birthday party for our son. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Everything was super organized, on-time, and they certainly met and exceeded our expectations!
