Daisy’s Cafe Dickson City is an eatery that now resides in the space formerly occupied by Kutsop’s Olde World Market. It’s a cozy eatery featuring a counter with seating, dining room, coffee counter, and an open kitchen where you can observe your food being cooked from scratch. They offer pizza and deserts, but are best known for their handmade pierogies, texas wieners, and porketta sandwiches.

I stopped in for a visit and got to meet the team, who were wonderful and welcoming. I learned a little bit about Daisy’s Cafe and their menu. What’s unique about the place is they offer convenience and comfort. If you’re traveling through on the busy street, you can grab a premade breakfast sandwich, quick lunch, coffee, or even desert for the road. If you want to sit and relax, they have a full service dining room complete with ivy wall!

Hot Wing Pizza

I tried their Texas wiener which featured an incredibly hearty and flavorful sauce along with mustard and onions just like I like it! The chili dog was super enjoyable! However, several readers told me that the hot wing pizza was the move. I called in my order and the friendly lady on the phone walked me through my options. The customer has the option to have it with or with out celery and bleu cheese. I chose to go all in and get the full experience opting for both.

The first thing that stood out about the hot wing pizza was the wonderful buffalo sauce. I went with the mild sauce. It was buttery with a hint of heat and a lovely depth of flavor and punch. It was a sauce that works well on pizza, bone-in wings, and wing bites. I mention this because there aren’t many buffalo sauces that I believe are great in all 3 applications, but I suspect I’d really enjoy Daisy’s sauce in all cases.

Celery is Controversial

The pizza was built on a soft and lightly baked crust, covered with plenty of shredded chicken, cheese, and bleu cheese. Celery is always a controversial topping, but if executed properly can add value to a buffalo chicken pizza. In this case, the chef sliced and diced the celery super thin so it added a fabulous texture that was present but not distracting. Nicely done!
