Schultzville Deli - Clarks Summit

Schultzville Deli Clarks Summit (Schultzville) is a great little convenience store. Located on Winola Road, this deli has a menu filled with hoagies, wraps, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and pizza. They also offer cold adult beverages, lottery, snacks, and convenience items so it’s a great stop when you’re passing through.

Over the years, several people told me about Schultzville’s hearty and flavorful trays like the hot wing pizza, chicken bacon ranch pizza, and the one I came to try – the Texas Wiener Pizza! To get some variety in my review, I ordered a half tray of chicken bacon ranch and a half tray of Texas wiener.

Ordering Two Hearty Pizzas to Review

Both pizzas were built on an Old Forge pizza shell and featured a very generous amount of cheese and toppings. Both were packed with flavors and weighed quite a bit. They certainly didn’t skimp on anything!

The Texas Wiener pizza featured an ultra-delicious chili sauce packed with burger and a zestiness and richness that great sauces have. It was covered in diced up hot dogs, onions, spicy brown mustard, and cheese. The shell was lightly baked and soft like a hot dog bun. For many, I know what you’re thinking – hot dogs and chili on pizza is gross, right? WRONG! It’s a thing! For some, you’ll never like chili dogs anyway, but for others this is the delicious treat you didn’t know you needed!

The Chicken Bacon Ranch featured a buttermilk ranch dressing, chunks of chicken, copious amounts of cheese, and chopped bacon. It was a wonderful and indulgent combination of flavor that was certainly worth the calories! I enjoyed the presentation and the novelty of such a hearty and delicious pizza.
