Snapper's Bar and Grill Lake Winola

Snapper’s Bar and Grill Lake Winola is a relatively new eatery on Route 307 in Factoryville. Some will recall that it’s the site of the former East Bay Tavern, Da Vinci’s by the Lake, and Lil’s Bar and Grill. Recently, Snapper’s renovated and expanded their bar to fit significantly more seating. It’s a great place to catch a game, hang out, shoot some pool, and grab a meal. Additionally, the restaurant has a beautiful deck with outdoor seating overlooking Lake Winola.

Reviewing Snapper’s Pizza

I stopped by with some friends for dinner and wanted to try their pizza and wings. You can select either round or square pizza, and I went with the NY style round pizza. When the pizza came out of the oven hot and fresh, it looked great. I first noticed how beautifully cooked the cheese was and how golden brown the edge crust appeared. It was crafted with wonderful proportions of crust, sauce and cheese.

The cheese was absolutely the best part of the pizza with a slightly salty flavor profile and nice stretch. The sauce was light on seasoning, neutral in flavor, and smooth in texture. Finally crust was relatively soft with a slight crispness around the edges. They did a great job in putting this pizza together and it fits firmly in the “party pleaser” category. I reserve this category for pizzas that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Checking Out the Chicken Wings

I also tried the hot and mild wings. Both sauces had a medium viscosity to them with the mild having a hint of heat and some sweet to it. The hot featured significant heat that were quite spicy, although not unbearable. I preferred the more subtle flavors of the mild wings, but if you enjoy some heat, the hot sauce is for you. They offered larger sized wings which were perfect. They weren’t the gigantic wings, but they were generously sized. I appreciated that they asked which level of crispiness we desired when placing the order. I specified “crispy” as opposed to “extra crispy” and they came out cooked absolutely perfect!

Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Snapper’s Bar and Grill Lake Winola. The service was ultra friendly and super attentive. The patrons were also friendly. We enjoyed watching sports on the televisions and the food was really good. This is definitely a spot I’ll go back to – especially during the summer on the outdoor patio. Have you tried Snapper’s?
