Tony’s Baltimore Grill Atlantic City is an old school bar and restaurant. It has a super cool laid back vibe that makes you want to hang out for a while. They have pizza, spaghetti, and SPAGHETTI PIZZA! On a recent trip to Atlantic City, I ordered a cheese pizza from Tony’s via delivery. Interestingly enough, the day after I visited the place in person with a group of friends!
My friends had to order the famous spaghetti pizza which is comprised of two layers of dough, a bunch of spaghetti, and a touch of spaghetti sauce – that’s really it! They cut it into four slices because cutting it smaller will cause it to fall apart according to the server. We tried to cut it smaller and verified this was the case. So if you’re ordering this, get ready to have a giant, hearty slice of spaghetti on your plate. Where I wasn’t tempted to try the slice, the feedback was generally that it was a novelty item and a fun conversation piece.
Reviewing the Cheese Pizza
The pizza I did try was their 12” cheese pizza. It’s a simple bar pie/pan pizza with a doughy crust, a pasty sauce, and some cheese on top. It’s a no frills pizza that no doubt will satisfy you if you’re having a couple of drinks at the bar. My scores below need to be taken with a grain of salt as the pizza was ordered via delivery.
I would definitely return to Tony’s Baltimore Grill, but I’m not sure that the pizza is the play here. Go for the roast beef sandwich – that’s the play! Really cool place and fun atmosphere!
