Amico's Pizza Harrisburg

While staying at a hotel in the Hershey, PA area, huger struck and I found Amico’s Pizza in Harrisburg on Uber Eats. They were offering fast delivery and I spotted a photo of their grandma pizza online that looked promising. I ordered the grandma pizza and a slice of the New York Style Pizza to try.

The grandma pizza was build on a medium thickness Sicilian crust. It was a uniform crust with a tight crumb and was beautifully brown and crispy on the bottom. They covered it with a decent mozzarella cheese and stripes of red pizza sauce. The pizza sauce was pretty neutral and light on flavor. The basil/pesto was diced up and baked on the pizza which created an interesting flavor profile.

The New York slice was very similar to the other lightly baked, modestly flavored pizzas that I’ve tried in the Harrisburg/Hershey area. Foldable crust, lightly flavored sauce, and a decent mozzarella cheese. Solid and in the “party pleaser” category of pizza that most people will enjoy.

Overall this pizza got the job done and fed a whole family. Solid value play in a touristy area.
