Berwick Original Italian Pizza stands out from the rest of the OIP chain for a few reasons. First, they offer a daily pizza buffet! The buffet offers an assortment of different pizzas, stromboli, garlic knots, pasta dishes, and more! It’s a super clean and inviting restaurant which left me with a full belly at a really reasonable price!
To my knowledge, each OIP is generally independently owned and each seems to have a different logo and the menus and recipes vary a bit. There is one distinct signature that I have found at each OIP I’ve tried over the years – house made bread! They use their pizza dough to make soft and wonderfully chewy rolls that are great for dunking in sauce. They even make subs on the bread that remind you of a soft dough pocket filled with meats, cheeses, and more. My favorite sub is the cheesesteak with mushrooms at any Original Italian Pizza!
