Great Food and Great People at Joyce’s Cafe in Scranton
Amazing Experience at Joyce’s on the “Minooka Mile”
Joyce’s Cafe is a small bar and restaurant in the Minooka section of Scranton with great atmosphere and food. Two things struck immediately upon entering for the first time: 1. How welcoming and friendly everyone was, and 2. How impeccably clean the entire establishment was. It always amazes me how each local establishment has its own personality and character, and this was a place that the vibe was contagious and you felt at home.
The pizza is the perfect size for a personal pie – I think about 10″ and is a great snack. It features I think Cooper (or similar) cheese on top which is creamy, melty, ooey, gooey, and most importantly flavorful. The sauce was full of flavor and had some nice sweetness and seasoning to it. The crust had a bit of that wonderful yeasty smell to it and was flaky and crispy on the bottom. If you’re looking for flavor, I can’t imagine a better snack while catching a game and chatting with friends! I also saw that they have a version of this pizza with vodka sauce on it which is 1000% getting ordered next time I stop by.
Overall, Joyce’s is really a place that you just have to experience. It happens to be a Notre Dame bar, but it wasn’t football season so I didn’t get to see that in full swing. Minooka is such a cool little town with a ton of little corner bars and restaurants in a row. I encourage you to stop by and try these gems! Have you been to Joyce’s?
